Jenny MCCarthy states – “What happened to critical thinking? What happened to asking questions because every child is different?” – First of all, there have been decades of critical thinking. Decades of development and research. How about the near eradication of POLIO and SmallPox. What we have is narcissism where one person (with a voice and good looks) goes with this mentality that “correlation MUST equal causation with *MY* child. And if it happened to *MY* child – *My* critical thinking matters more than the scores of scientists who came before me.”
Does she apply that same logic to theories like “gravity?” Can I use that same logic to dispel the notion the Earth is round? How many people listened to her simply because she was famous – or pretty?
